Over the Rainbow Learning Center caters to a child’s development at every stage of their growth throughout early childhood. Each child is provided a safe and enriched atmosphere with the proper structure and guidance to learn and grow through their passions. In order to provide the highest quality child care, our learning center also networks with the ELC (Early Learning Coalition) of Northwest Florida. The programs we offer fall into approximate age ranges in order to maintain the importance of assessing each child’s path through developmental milestones. As a result, we want to ensure all students receive the optimal outcomes with peers in a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Presently, we offer learning environments for early child development, preschool, and afterschool care.
Waddler 1
Our one-year-old environment and approach is dedicated to curiosity and exploration. We frame discoveries with a positive meaning about the world around them. The diverse set of materials and experiences with mindful sensory play while feeling safe and nestled in their environment allows the young toddlers to become more autonomous.
Toddler 2
Our two-year-old environment is a mindful response to the children’s innate curiosity and desire to construct new horizons of knowledge. Diverse activities are available for endless opportunities. Collaborations with peers and teachers allow for social experiences and give children opportunities to master their environment.
Preschool 3
Our three-year-old environment is designed for the more confident communicators. This investigative environment is a buzzing hub of ideas, conversations, negotiations, and theories put to the test. They are developing their ability to transition, listen, and social skills, as well as the ability to express their thinking.
Pre-K 4
Our Pre K/VPK program is designed to include all fields of learning like literacy, history, music, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math), and much more. We prioritize self-regulation that stems from the ability to set clear expectations that they can change their world and the world around them.
Afterschool 5-10
Our environment for our school-agers (innovators) supports growth in academics and social-emotional wellness. Critical thinking skills and creativity continue to be fostered and encouraged. Our program focuses on mindfulness, respect, kindness, and a host of other life skills necessary for being a great citizen of the world.
